Washington, D.C. – The fourth-seeded Molloy women's basketball team fell to the second-seeded Daemen Wildcats, 68-56, in the ECC Final Sunday afternoon at the UDC Sports Complex. The Lions moved to 22-9 overall.

How it Happened

• The Lions scored the first seven points of the game, led by five points from graduate student Robyn Francis.
• Daemen closed the frame on a 14-2 rally and led 14-9 after the first quarter.
• Ahead 14-11, the Wildcats went on a 9-0 run to increase their advantage to 23-11.
• Daemen led 29-22 at the half.
• The Wildcats extended their lead to 46-34 with 3:20 left in the third stanza.
• The maroon and white ended the quarter on an 8-0 run, sparked by six points from junior Gabriella Aspuru, and trailed 46-42 after 30 minutes of play.
• Graduate student Kadijah Dickson hit a jump shot to make it 46-44 with 9:20 remaining.
• Daemen increased its lead to 51-44 with 7:17 left.
• Molloy responded with six straight points, led by four from Dickson, to cut the Wildcats' advantage to 51-50 with 5:35 left, but that was as close as the maroon and white would get.

Top Performances

• Dickson netted a game-high 26 points.
• Aspuru tallied 15 points, and Francis added seven points.
• Dickson and Aspuru were named to the All-Tournament team.
