Worcester, Mass. – The Molloy women's lacrosse team was defeated by the #14 Assumption Greyhounds, 10-4, Saturday afternoon at the Multi-Sport Stadium. The Lions moved to 2-3, while the Greyhounds improved to 2-0.

How it Happened

• Assumption tallied the first two goals of the game.
• Senior Amanda Reyes scored to cut the Greyhounds lead to 2-1.
• With the home team ahead 4-1, junior Alexa Adduci and freshman Kelly Stephens found the back of the net to make it 4-3.
• Assumption led 5-3 at the half.
• After the Greyhounds increased their advantage to 6-3, Reyes tallied a goal to shrink the lead to 6-4.
• The home team netted the final four goals of the contest.

Top Performances

• Reyes netted two goals.
• Adduci (one goal), Stephens (one goal), and freshman Amanda Weber (one assist) recorded one point apiece.
• Weber picked up five ground balls.
• Juniors Jillian Mayr and Kaitlyn Meyer caused one turnover and picked up two ground balls, and seniors Shannon Atwell and Molly VanDusen caused two turnovers.
• Junior Allie Long made 13 saves.
