Reading, Pa. - The women's bowling team placed third at the CHC Baker Classic, hosted by Chestnut Hill College. The Lions ended the day with a 41-35 record in NCAA play, picking up two victories today.
The afternoon began with a best-of-seven Baker match against #18 Delaware State. The maroon and white took home games two, four, and six to force a deciding game. The Lions tossed a 206-pin effort, but nine-straight strikes from the Hornets sealed the game in their favor.
Molloy then topped #8 Chestnut Hill, 4-1 before topping #11 Kutztown on the back of 210 and 194-pin performances.
The Lions return to the lanes for the Viking Classic on Satuday (Feb. 22) in Fairfield, Conn.
