Reading, Pa. - The women's bowling team continued in the second day of the CHC Baker Invitational, hosted by Chestnut Hill College. The maroon and white swept the field of five for the afternoon and will head into tomorrow's bracket portion of the event in third-place with an overall record of 39-34.
The day began with an 892-888 victory over #5 Adelphi University before topping Howard, 935-832. The Lions then beat #14 Caldwell, 914-857 before besting the host #8 Griffins, 932-902. Molloy earned a decisive 948-712 victory over Walsh to end the afternoon.
In split squad, the Lions took home the WCC Invite with a total of 4955 pins. Sophomore
Colleen Kingsepp was named the event's all-around champion with a total of 1129, averaging a 188. The sophomore paired with senior
Alyssa Doto to a 1120-pin first-place victory in doubles. The team of sophomore
Cassidy Syrdale and freshman
Makayla Katz finished in second-place with 955 pins.
Kingsepp added 535 pins in singles play, placing second to senior
Carly Licht, who knocked down 572.Â
Licht, Kinsepp, and Doto were all named to the All-Tournament team for their performances.
