Reading, Pa. - The Lions competed in the first of three days at the CHC Baker Classic, hosted by Chestnut Hill College. Molloy went 2-3 on the afternoon, setting the team's record at an even 34-34 on the season.
The afternoon started with losses to Kutztown, 902-850, and Fairleigh Dickinson, 932-872. The maroon and white rallied for decisive victories over Mt. Aloysius, 952-716, and New Jersey City University, 928-780. The afternoon ended in a close contest against the Sharks of Long Island University, with Molloy falling by seven pins, 960-953.
The event will continue tomorrow (Feb. 8) in Baker format.
