Kutztown, Pa. - The women's bowling team staved off elimination in yesterday's double elimination competition, making it to the championship bracket for the first time in the program's history. Despite advancing to the semifinals this afternoon, the keglers were downed by Adelphi University, 3-2, to end the 2018-19 campaign. Molloy ended the season with a program-best record of 46-30.

How it Happened

• The Lions defeated the Griffins of Chestnut Hill College, 4-0, to become one of the final four teams in contention for the title. 
• Molloy then faced Adelphi University in the semifinals. The maroon and white took an early 2-0 advantage over the Panthers, but Adelphi rebounded to take the next three games and go ahead, 3-2. 
• Molloy survived and forced a game seven, but two open frames sealed the Lions' fate and handed Adelphi the 4-3 victory.
