Reading, Pa. - The women's bowling team survived the double elimination portion of Day 2 of the East Coast Conference Championship tournament, going 3-1 on the afternoon, to advance to the championship bracket for the first time in the program's history.
The day began with a 4-0 victory over Daemen College before falling to Caldwell University in a close 4-3 contest. Needing to sweep the rest of the afternoon in order to remain in the competition, the maroon and white defeated Bloomfield College, 4-0, and Roberts Wesleyan College, 4-2.
The Lions will face off against Chestnut Hill College tomorrow morning with the hopes of advancing to the semifinal round of the ECC Tournament.
