Kutztown, Pa. - The women's bowling team competed in the opening round robin play of the East Coast Conference Championship this afternoon, going 2-2, to earn the #6 seed headed into tomorrow's double elimination portion of the compeition.
The maroon and white began with a tough draw against the defending champions, Lincoln Memorial University. The Railsplitters defeated Molloy, 1076-966. The Lions rebounded with a 975-953 victory over Chestnut Hill College. The Pioneers of LIU Post led by 29 pins, but the keglers responded with a 205-pin performance in game five to take the match, 945-937. The opening day ended with a 926-864 loss to the host, Kutztown University.
