Rockville Centre, N.Y. (Feb. 24, 2018) – The Molloy men's lacrosse team defeated the Walsh Cavaliers, 13-4, Saturday afternoon at John A. Darcy Field. The Lions improved to 1-2 on the season with the win. Sophomore
Kevin Pastier tallied a game-high five goals, and sophomore
Jeff Hauser scored three goals for the maroon and white.
The Lions opened the game with a five-goal first quarter on goals from Hauser, junior
Michael Scheuerer, Pastier, freshman
Nick Del Giorno, and sophomore
Colin Kotarski.
Pastier netted his second goal of the contest on the extra man-advantage in the second quarter, and Molloy led 6-0 at the half.
The maroon and white tallied the first three goals of the second half on goals from Scheuerer, Hauser, and Pastier to increase its lead to 9-0 after three quarters of play.
Walsh (0-2) scored the next two goals of the game to cut the advantage to 9-2 with 13:25 left. Pastier tallied two goals in the fourth, and senior
Tim Steinman and Hauser scored one each en route to securing a 13-4 victory.

Mike Durkin led the team with five ground balls, and senior
Zach Antonette picked up four ground balls and caused three turnovers.

Ryan Toomey made four saves in the win.
Molloy returns to action Saturday, Mar. 3 when it heads to Post University. Face-off with the Eagles is scheduled for 1:00 p.m.
