Michael Wall recorded two RBIs, and freshman
Matt Overton collected three hits in the loss.
The maroon and white opened the scoring in the first inning. After singles from sophomore
Sean Hogan, junior
Nick Marino, and Overton, Wall drilled a two-RBI single through the left side to give the away team a 2-0 lead.
Chowan (3-6) tallied five runs in the fourth inning to take a 5-2 advantage.
Molloy registered one hit in each the seventh, eighth, and ninth innings, but failed to score a run.
The Hawks added three runs in the eighth on their way to victory.
Senior
Anthony Catinella gave up five runs, on three hits, struck out five, and walked six in four innings pitched.
The Lions and the Hawks conclude their series tomorrow with a double-header starting at noon.
