Brianna Wilson (Levittown, N.Y.) tallied eight points, and junior
Jessica Markowitz (Baldwin N.Y.) netted six goals leading the Molloy women's lacrosse team to an 18-11 win over the University of Bridgeport Purple Knights Thursday evening at John A. Darcy field. The Lions, who have won four straight games and eight of their last nine, improve to 9-3 overall and 4-2 in the East Coast Conference.

Alexa Watson (North Massapequa, N.Y.), who recorded two goals and three assists, added five points in the win.Senior Lauren Mengel (Gilbertsville, Pa.) registered four goals and one assist for Bridgeport, which moved to 7-4 overall and 1-3 in conference play.
Markowitz scored four of the game's first five goals to put Molloy ahead 4-1. Following back-to-back tallies from the Purple Knights, the maroon and white went on a 5-1 run, led by three goals from Wilson and a goal apiece from Markowitz and Watson to increase its lead to 9-4. Senior
Laura Rice (New Hyde Park, N.Y.) added a goal before the first half ended to put the Lions ahead 10-6 at the break.
After UB opened the second half with a goal, sophomore
Casie Caiazza (Melville, N.Y), Watson, and Markowitz found the back of the net to make it 13-7. The Purple Knights cut the lead to 13-10. But, the Lions ended the contest scoring five of the final six goals, led by two goals from senior
Cooper Sesselman (Lindenhurst, N.Y.), and a goal each from Caiazza, Wilson, and Rice, to secure their 18-11 victory.
