BROOKVILLE, N.Y. (March 4, 2017) - The No. 20 Molloy men's lacrosse team fell to the No. 19 LIU Post Pioneers, 11-4, Saturday at LIU Post. The Lions moved to 2-2 overall and 0-1 in ECC play.
Freshman 
Kevin Pastier (Plainview, N.Y.) scored a team-high two goals for the Lions. Chris Trasacco (Cheshire, Conn.) recorded a game-high five points (two goals and three assists) for LIU Post, which improved to 3-3 overall and 1-0 in the conference.
Junior 
Casey Kelly (Rockville Centre, N.Y.) opened the scoring to give the Lions an early 1-0 lead. The Pioneers scored the next three goals of the half to bring a 3-1 advantage into the break.
Freshman 
Travis Cooksey (Wantagh, N.Y.) netted a goal to cut the home team's lead to 3-2 with 12:50 left in the third quarter. LIU Post scored the game's next three goals to increase its lead to 6-2. Pastier tallied two of the game's next three goals to cut the lead to 7-4. But the Pioneers' scored the final four goals of the contest on their way to an 11-4 win.
Junior 
Ryan Toomey (Hicksville, N.Y.) made 10 stops in the loss.
Molloy continues its three-game road swing Friday (Mar.10) when it plays Dominican College. The game is scheduled to begin at 7:00 p.m.
