EAST STROUDSBURG, Pa. (Sept. 18, 2016) - The Molloy College field hockey team was unable to record a shot on Sunday (Sept. 18) as the Lions were outclassed by defending national champion and No. 1 East Stroudsburg in a 4-0 loss to the Warriors at Whitenight Field.
ESU (6-2) ended the contest with a 43-0 shot advantage on the maroon and white, a mark that included 24 shots on goal for the Warriors' offense. The hosts got on the board at the three-minute mark of the contest as Robin Stevenson (Harare, Zimbabwe) scored off of an assist from sophomore midfielder Paige Harrold (York, Pa.). Three other players would score for the top-ranked Warriors, with two more goals coming in the first half.

Arianna Ovadia (East Meadow, N.Y.) made nine saves in the first half of action. Freshman
Amanda Mesas (Lake Ronkonkoma, N.Y.) made her collegiate debut in the second half of play, allowing one goal but making 11 saves for the Lions in cage.
Molloy (0-4) will return home for a 3 p.m. contest with Saint Michael's College at Bay Park in East Rockaway, N.Y.
