(Apr. 30, 2016) - A six-goal run in the middle of the first half was enough to propel the Molloy College women's lacrosse team to a 16-10 victory over Chestnut Hill on Saturday (Apr. 30) in non-conference action at Plymouth Whitemarsh High School in Lafayette Hill, Pa. The win was the tenth for Molloy (10-6) this season, clinching the fourth 10-win campaign for Head Coach
Tom Campolettano and the Lions since the program's inception in 2006; meanwhile, Chestnut Hill fell to 10-7 on the 2016 campaign.
After midfielder Jacklyn O'Leary (East Meadow, N.Y.) scored the first goal of the game within 90 seconds of action, the Lions went to work and scored the next six goals in a span of 11 minutes. Senior attacker
Kim Pepe (Farmingdale, N.Y.) had two goals in that span, with her second marker giving the Lions a 6-1 edge with 17:27 to play in the first half. Molloy would end the half with a 7-2 lead as freshman
Brianna Wilson (Levittown, N.Y.) scored the final goal of the frame with eight minutes remaining; junior midfielder
Cooper Sesselman (Lindenhurst, N.Y.) opened the second half with her second marker in upping the maroon and white's advantage to six goals with almost two minutes gone by in the half. O'Leary led a brief spurt for the host Griffins that brought Chestnut Hill within four goals, but sophomore attacker
Jessica Markowitz (Baldwin, N.Y.) scored back-to-back markers and netted a third in the half (fourth in the game) with 19:22 remaining to give her side an 11-6 advantage to put the game away.

Meghan Orlando (Hicksville, N.Y.) had a team-high five points with two goals and three assists while Markowitz tallied four goals, four ground balls and four draw control wins. Wilson and
Alexa Watson (North Massapequa, N.Y.) each had three points as did Pepe while midfielders Sesselman,
Katie O'Brien (Oyster Bay, N.Y.) and
Laura Rice (New Hyde Park, N.Y.) scored twice to lead the Lions to victory. Sesselman and freshman
Emily Bauer (Wantagh, N.Y.) each caused three turnovers in the victory and red-shirt junior goalie
Caroline Winters (Baldwin, N.Y.) made six saves in 48 minutes to pick up her tenth win of the year. Freshman netminder
