Kevin Teresky (South Huntington, N.Y.),
Peter Clark (Rockville Centre, N.Y.) and
Tom Graef (New Hyde Park, N.Y.) combined to score 10 goals for the No. 15 Molloy College men's lacrosse team on Saturday (Apr. 30) in a 16-13 victory for the Lions over Roberts Wesleyan at John A. Darcy Field. The win clinched Molloy's second straight 10-win season as the maroon and white wrapped up the 2016 campaign with a 10-5 record overall and a 4-4 mark in East Coast Conference play. Roberts, meanwhile, finishes the year with a 3-13 overall mark and a 1-7 standing in ECC action.
Teresky scored the game's first goal off of a feed from Clark in the first three minutes of play, while Graef scored two of the next four in alternating with Redhawks attacker Cody Menzies (Georgetown, Ontario, Canada). With four-and-a-half minutes to play in the first quarter, junior attackman
Connor Slane (North Babylon, N.Y.) scored three consecutive goals incuding a man-up marker to give the Lions a 6-3 lead after the first 15 minutes of play. Teresky scored three straight goals in the second quarter as Molloy opened up a 10-4 lead on Clark's first goal of the contest, but Roberts Wesleyan scored the next four goals over a span of about 12 minutes. Menzies' fourth goal of the contest cut Molloy's lead to 10-8 with 6:47 to play in the third quarter before Slane and Clark hit the back of the cage once again to up the Lions lead to five at 13-8. Roberts Wesleyan stayed close with goals by Colin Waden (West Henrietta, N.Y.) and Zac Sapor (Greece, N.Y.) bringing the Redhawks within three goals at 14-11 with 10:38 to play in the contest. The hosts, however, were determined to make Senior Day a happy day as Teresky and Slane assured the victory with two goals in 120 seconds late in the fourth quarter. Roberts Wesleyan scored the final two markers of the game but could not get any closer than the 16-13 final margin.
Teresky led the way with seven points on five goals and two assists, while Slane scored five times on 14 shots. Clark had a hat trick and three assists while also picking up four ground balls. Graef hit the back of the net twice and senior midfielder

Frank Sciulla (Rocky Point, N.Y.) had a field day in the face-off circle, winning 24-of-32 draws and picking up 12 ground balls to lead the Lions. Sophomore goalie
