Austin Valenti (Baldwin, N.Y.) scored his third goal of the game with just over nine minutes to play in regulation and the No. 14 Molloy College men's lacrosse team survived two quick goals from Post University to down the Eagles in an 8-7 thriller at LaMoy Field in Waterbury, Conn. on Saturday (Apr. 2).
Valenti led the team with three goals while junior attacker
Connor Slane (North Babylon, N.Y.) scored a pair of markers in the Lions' victory, which improved Molloy's record to 7-3 overall. Seniors
Kevin Teresky (South Huntington, N.Y.) and
Tom Graef (New Hyde Park, N.Y.) each scored a goal while sophomore
Tim Steinman (Lindenhurst, N.Y.) added a man-up tally and an assist. Teresky also had a helper on Slane's second goal, which was the 34th point of the season for the senior attacker out of South Huntington.

Casey Kelly (Rockville Centre, N.Y.) led the defensive effort with six ground ball pickups while Valenti and goalie
Ryan Toomey (Hicksville, N.Y.) had four ground balls in the win. Teresky and Slane each caused two turnovers while sophomore
Jaron Greenidge (Flanders, N.Y.) also caused a turnover on defense. Toomey made 14 saves in cage to pick up his seventh win on the season and junior midfielder
Frank Sciulla (Rocky Point, N.Y.) went 9-for-19 on face-offs.
The maroon and white return home and return to East Coast Conference play on Saturday (Apr. 9) when the Lions welcome rival Mercy College to John A. Darcy Field for a 3 p.m. contest.
