(Mar. 6, 2016) - Behind a five-headed attack that proved to be too much for the opponents to handle, the fourteenth-ranked Molloy College men's lacrosse team earned its fourth consecutive victory of the 2016 campaign in silencing Chestnut Hill by a 14-9 margin on Sunday (Mar. 6) at Plymouth Whitemarsh High School in Lafayette Hill, Pa. The Lions now move to 4-0 on the season and 1-0 in East Coast Conference play, while the Griffins fall to 0-4 overall, losing their conference opener to drop to 0-1 in ECC competition.

Ryan Toomey (Hicksville, N.Y.) had eight saves to earn his fourth win of the season in cage.
The Griffins opened the game with the first marker as junior defender Daniel DePasquale (Livingston, N.J.) slid a first-quarter shot past Toomey; but the Lions roared back into action with six consecutive goals (two from Clark and Teresky, one from Camposa and Valenti). The hosts pulled back within two goals at 7-5 with 11 minutes and 30 seconds to play in the third quarter but Molloy ran off five unanswered markers to put the game firmly out of reach.
The Molloy College men's lacrosse team will take its perfect record into a non-conference tilt on Wednesday night (Mar. 9) when the Penmen of Southern New Hampshire University face off with the Lions for the fifth straight season. First face-off is set for 6 p.m. at John A. Darcy Field in Rockville Centre.
