ROCKVILLE CENTRE, N.Y. (Mar. 21, 2016) - The Molloy College baseball team is the fourth-best team in the East Region according to the NCBWA. The LIU Post Pioneers are the tenth-best team in the NCBWA's weekly poll, which came out on Monday (Mar. 21). The two teams will square off this week in a four-game conference-opening series that begins on Thursday (Mar. 24), extends to Saturday (Mar. 26) and wraps up on Monday (Mar. 28) as the teams will play around the Easter holiday.
About the Lions-Molloy will start conference play with an overall record of 11-6, including 4-1 at home.
-They split a Saturday doubleheader with Stonehill College as Molloy won 4-1 in game one and dropped a 6-2 decision in game two.
- The Lions have six players batting over .300 this year, amounting to a team batting average of .311, which leads the ECC.
