Brianna Wilson (Levittown, N.Y.) continued her impressive string of performances with a five-goal, six-point afternoon as the Molloy College women's lacrosse team won its third straight contest, overwhelming Caldwell University by an 18-4 score at the Kiwanis Oval in Caldwell, N.J. on Tuesday (Mar. 15). Molloy is now 5-2 on the season while the Cougars fall to 0-3 in the 2016 campaign.
The Lions scored the first six goals of the contest as Wilson and freshman attacker
Casie Caiazza (Melville, N.Y.) each tallied two markers in the run while
Cooper Sesselman (Lindenhurst, N.Y.) scored the game's first goal and graduate attacker
Meghan Orlando (Hicksville, N.Y.) added the last of the six with just under 10 minutes gone by in the first half. Wilson completed her first-half hat trick with 15:59 to play in the opening stanza, and the maroon and white went into the halftime break up 9-3 thanks to goals by senior
Katie O'Brien (Oyster Bay, N.Y.) and freshman
Michaela Siegler (Levittown, N.Y.). The second half proved to be another stellar offensive effort for the Lions, as Sesselman scored three goals in the final thirty minutes while Wilson added two more. Not to be outdone, junior midfielder
Laura Rice (New Hyde Park, N.Y.) and sophomore middie
Angela Bollettieri (Plainview, N.Y.) scored two goals apiece to close the Lions' scoring account at 18---the most goals scored by the team this season. Molloy also put forth its best shooting performance with a season-high .865 shots-on-goal percentage.
Wilson's six points led the team, as did her six draw control wins; Sesselman (4G, 1A) and Orlando (1G, 4A) had five-point outings for the Lions in the win. Junior attacker

Emily Bauer (Wantagh, N.Y.) had a team-high three ground ball pickups. Bauer was one of four players that caused a team-best two turnovers, a list that included Orlando,

The Molloy College women's lacrosse team will shoot for its fourth straight win and second win in two East Coast Conference games on Saturday (Mar. 19) when the Lions play Bridgeport in Connecticut at 6 p.m.
