John Petrucelli (Hicksville, N.Y.) has signed with the Erie BayHawks, the D-League affiliate of the Orlando Magic. The guard is currently averaging 10.3 points, 3.3 rebounds, and 1.3 assists per game for the BayHawks .
Last season, Petrucelli played professionally in Slovakia for BK Iskra Svit. He averaged 16.48 points per game, including a 46% field goal percentage as well as shooting nearly 80% from the foul line. Petrucelli also averaged 5.14 rebounds and nearly three assists per game last season for BK Iskra Svit.
While at Molloy, Petrucelli became the all-time top scorer for the Lions, scoring 2,011 points in his career. As a senior, the forward averaged 23.1 points per game and shot 46.4% from the field, 30.5% from three-point range, and 80.1% from the charity stripe. He was also awarded Player of th Year by the conference as well as being named First-Team All-Conference and Second-Team All-Region.
