Alyssa Migliorini (North Haven, Conn.) picked up the lone point for the Molloy College women's tennis team with a straight-sets win in the No. 1 singles flight on Saturday (Oct. 22); the Lions, however, were knocked off in the fall finale by Roberts Wesleyan as the Redhawks collected an 8-1 win in Rochester.
Migliorini's 6-0, 6-3 win over Marousia Bosch (Utrecht, Netherlands) came after a spirited effort at the top doubles tandem by Migliorini and
Montaine Le Goupil-Maier (Oceanside, N.Y.). Molloy's first doubles team lost to Bosch and Natalia Cardona (Armenia, Colombia) by an 8-4 final score. Cardona also won in third-singles against
Megan Scali (Garrison, N.Y.) in an 8-5 pro-set decision.
With the loss, Molloy finishes the season at 1-10 overall and 0-7 in conference play. Roberts Wesleyan improved to 10-8 overall and 3-4 in ECC action.
