Box Score WEST HEMPSTEAD, N.Y. (Oct. 17, 2016) - Playing in the team's first dual match since the end of September, the Molloy women's tennis squad could not keep up with an unbeaten Queens College group on Saturday (Oct. 15). The Lions were defeated in an 8-1 decision against the Knights at Hempstead Lake Indoor Tennis Complex.
The lone point for Molloy came in the third-singles flight, as
Megan Scali (Garrison, N.Y.) picked up the victory in her contest. The Lions were close as well in the top doubles tandem, but
Alyssa Migliorini (North Haven, Conn.) and
Montaine Le Goupil-Maier (Oceanside, N.Y.) fell by an 8-6 decision to Emy Alplund (Engelberg, Switzerland) and Angelica Sobiecka (Mlawa, Poland).
The fall season for Molloy will conclude this coming weekend as the Lions head to ECC foes Daemen and Roberts Wesleyan on Friday (Oct. 21) and Saturday (Oct. 22).
