Box Score UNIONDALE, N.Y. (Apr. 2, 2015) - On Thursday, the Molloy College baseball team defeated Dominican College, 8-2 at Mitchel Field in Uniondale, N.Y. With the win, the Lions improved to 11-12 overall, while the Chargers fell to 4-10.

Dominican scored two runs in the seventh and eighth innings to cut its deficit to 4-2. Molloy then scored four insurance runs in the bottom of the eighth to take an 8-2 advantage. Van Duyne recorded a two-run single to bring home freshman

Shea Spitzbarth (Staten Island, N.Y.) went all nine innings for the complete game, giving up two runs (one earned) on four hits. He notched 10 strikeouts. Spitzbarth is now 2-1 with a 2.40 earned run average. He now has 42 strikeouts in 30 innings.
