(Mar. 25, 2015) - On Wednesday, the Molloy College softball team earned a doubleheader sweep over East Coast Conference-opponent Dowling College by the final scores of 11-3 and 8-1. With today's action, the Lions improved to 6-12 overall and 2-0 in the league, while the Golden Lions slipped to 8-9-1 (0-2 ECC).
Game 1: Molloy 11, Dowling 3 (5 innings)The Lions were trailing 3-0 entering the bottom of the fifth inning. Molloy then reeled off an incredible 11 runs in that frame to envoke the run-rule and take the 11-3 victory over Dowling. Junior

Alexandra Russo (Coram, N.Y.) slugged a solo shot to left field. Balinskas and Lee followed that up with RBI singles, before Balinskas cranked a solo home run in the fifth inning.Â
