(Mar. 25, 2015) - On Tuesday afternoon, the Molloy College baseball team bested St. Thomas Aquinas College, 5-2 at Mitchel Field in Uniondale, N.Y., to even its East Coast Conference record at 2-2. The Lions improved to 7-9 overall, while the Spartans fell to 5-6-1 (2-2 ECC).
The main storyline in this game was the pitching dominance of sophomore starter
Ronald Bauer (Hicksville, N.Y.). Bauer went eight innings, giving up two runs (one earned). He struck out a whopping 15 batters. Bauer improved to 2-1 on the season.

Anthony Alberghina (Staten Island, N.Y.) allowed junior
Deilyn Guzman (East Hampton, N.Y.) to score when he reached via a fielder's choice in the first. Five innings later, senior

The Spartans grabbed one of those runs back in the top of the seventh. In the bottom half of the frame, Guzman scored on a wild pich, while freshman
Angelo Navetta (Staten Island, N.Y.) singled hom Rahn to give Molloy a 5-1 lead. St. Thomas Aquinas scored its second and final run of the game in the eighth via an RBI double.
