Box Score BROOKVILLE, N.Y. (Mar. 14, 2015) - At Bethpage Stadium in Brookville, N.Y. on Saturday, the No. 10 Molloy College men's lacrosse team fell to No. 2 LIU Post by the final score of 12-8. With the win, the Pioneers improved to 5-1 overall and 2-0 in the East Coast Conference, while the Lions slipped to 3-1 on the year (2-1 ECC).
The Pioneers took a 3-1 lead following the first quarter. Molloy's lone goal came off the stick of junior
Kevin Teresky (Huntington, N.Y.). Senior attack
Joe Leonard (Hicksville, N.Y.) was credited with the assist.
In the second period, LIU Post scored four unanswered markers before Molloy netted a pair of goals -- one apiece from sophomore
Connor Slane (North Babylon, N.Y.) and Leonard.
At halftime, LIU Post led by the score of 7-3. Following the intermission, the Pioneers tacked on two goals sandwiched around a Molloy tally from Teresky.
Entering the final quarter, Molloy trailed 9-4. Molloy was hot in the fourth as it scored four times. However, the Pioneers found the back of the cage another three times to keep pace and eventually lock down the 12-8 triumph. Those fourth quarter goals on the Lions' side were scored by Leonard (who had two), junior midfielder
Peter Clark (Rockville Centre, N.Y.) and Teresky. Leonard and Teresky completed their hat tricks for the day.

Ryan Toomey (Hicksville, N.Y.) stopped 11 shots in the loss.

Eric Petrullo and the Lions return to the field on Tuesday, March 17 when they travel to Worcester, Mass. to play Assumption College. The opening faceoff is slated for 4:30 p.m.
