OLD WESTBURY, N.Y. (Oct. 6, 2015) - The Molloy College women's tennis team could not defeat NYIT on Tuesday, falling to the Bears by a 9-0 score at the NYIT Tennis Courts in Old Westbury.

Megan Scali (Garrison, N.Y.) took two games in the second set of her match with senior Justyna Krol (Chorzow, Poland), but ultimately lost by a 6-0, 6-2 score at second singles. Fellow first-year Lion
Krystal Bottone (Wantagh, N.Y.) won two of the eight games played in the first set of her No. 6 singles match against Rosa LaCorte (Merrick, N.Y.). Bottone, though, would lose the match by a 6-2, 6-0 decision.
The Molloy College women's tennis team will begin a two-match homestand on Monday (Oct. 12) when the Lions host Roberts Wesleyan in a Columbus Day matinee. The action will take place at Hempstead Lake Indoor Tennis, beginning at 1 p.m.
