The game belonged to freshman forward Andrea Huntzinger (Stockholm, Sweden), who scored the game's first goal at the 3:21 mark of the opening half. Huntzinger collected a rebound after a shot by sophomore Klara Berggren (Stockholm, Sweden) was blocked, and the freshman pushed her attempt off the hands of junior keeper
Gabrielle Batista (Hicksville, N.Y.) and into the back of the net. Huntzinger collected her second goal of the game and seventh on the season later in the first half. With three minutes to play, graduate midfielder Gabriella Fuduli (East Meadow, N.Y.) sent a perfect through ball to the Molloy 18-yard box where Huntzinger drew Batista off her back line and chipped a shot over her head and into the net. Huntzinger scored her third goal in the second half to cement the hat trick and take the Lions officially out of the running for postseason play with ten minutes remaining.
