Women's Tennis Suffers 8-1 Loss to Post University Wednesday

Box Score ROCKVILLE CENTRE, N.Y. (Oct. 15, 2015) - The Molloy College women's tennis team could not overcome Post University on Wednesday, falling to the Eagles by an 8-1 score at Hempstead Lake Indoor Tennis Complex.

In her final home fall match as a member of the Molloy College women's tennis program, senior Tatiana Rajaona (Paris, France) claimed a victory at the No. 1 singles flight over sophomore Brianna Miah (Wesley Chapel, Fla.). Rajaona gritted out a 6-3, 3-6, 10-5 victory to claim her 40th career win in a maroon and white uniform. Rajaona teamed with freshman Megan Scali (Garrison, N.Y.) in the top doubles pair, but the duo dropped an 8-3 decision to Miah and Liza Dubrovskaya (Rostov-on-Don, Russia). 

Junior Emily Rosen (Little Neck, N.Y.) and freshman Krystal Bottone (Wantagh, N.Y.) were competitive in losing identical 6-3, 6-3 singles matches to Jessica Bergen (Bethel, Conn.) and Julianna Frenette (Woodbury, Conn.), respectively.

The Molloy College women's tennis team will travel to Philadelphia on Friday (Oct. 16) before facing Queens (N.Y.) in Flushing on Saturday (Oct. 17) to wrap up the autumn 2015 campaign.
