Box Score ROCKVILLE CENTRE, N.Y. (Jan. 31, 2015) - The Molloy College women's basketball squad lost on Saturday afternoon to Roberts Wesleyan College, 79-57, snapping a three-game winning streak. The loss drops the Lions to 8-11 overall and 4-8 in East Coast Conference action, while the Redhawks improve to 14-4 on the year and 9-3 in league play.
In the first half, the Lions trailed by 13 points with the halftime score at 29-16. The Lions started off fast taking a three-point lead, however the Redhawks took over from there and never looked back. Roberts Wesleyan would lead by as many as 14 after a three-ball from Lucy Covely.
In the second stanza, the Lions cut into the Redhawks' lead, trimming it down to 10 points after a made free throw from senior guard
Sabrina Padro (Bronx, N.Y.). However, the Redhawks never let up for the rest of the game and achieved a highwater-mark of 23 with 17 seconds remaining in regulation.
The Lions were led offensively by junior guard/forward
Kimani Jackson (Dix Hills, N.Y.) and her 14 points (6-9 from the field). Sophomore guard
Maggie Salomone (Narragansett, R.I.) contributed 11 points off the bench.
The Redhawks were paced by senior Marissa Sell's 18 points and 16 rebounds.

Kate Lynch and the Lions next hit the road looking to get back on track when they travel to Dobbs Ferry, N.Y. to take on the Mavericks of Mercy College on Wednesday, Feburary 4. The opening tipoff is slated for 5:30 p.m.
