JERICHO, N.Y. (Jan. 13, 2015) - This past Friday evening, the Molloy College Department of Athletics honored four individuals by inducting them into the Molloy Athletic Hall of Fame at the Milleridge Cottage in Jericho, Long Island.
Donna Lohrey Classie '06 (Women's Basketball, 2002-06),
Lauren Catania Daly '05 (Women's Soccer, 2000-03),
Joe Holden (Baseball, 2003-05) and
Ettore Morelli '09 (Men's Soccer, 2004-08) joined the ranks of Molloy Athletics' most impressive and successful.
The night began with a photo session and video interviews for the inductees and their family and friends. The cocktail hour followed before the main portion of the evening's itinerary started at 8 p.m. when Molloy College Vice President for Student Affairs Bob Houlihan, who served as Master of Ceremonies, began by introducing a slideslow of the 39 current members of the Athletic Hall of Fame. Interwoven between the three-course meal were the inductions (in order) of: Catania Daly, Morelli, Lohrey Classie, and Holden. Houlihan closed out the evening with some concluding remarks, including the date for the athletic department's annual golf outing (June 22, 2015) at the Hempstead Golf & Country Club.
