In the first game for the Lions this afternoon, Dowling scored four times in the first and twice in the second to grab an early 6-0 lead. The Golden Lions would add another four runs in the third and fourth frames. Molloy plated its third and final run of the contest in the bottom of the fifth when sophomore first baseman Nicholas Gonchar (Staten Island, N.Y.) reached via an error, which allowed freshman second baseman Brian Murphy (Elmont, N.Y.) to touch home plate. Dowling scored an additional two runs and eventually locked down the 12-3 victory.
