Box Score ROCKVILLE CENTRE, N.Y. (Apr. 19, 2014) - On Saturday, the Molloy College men's lacrosse team fell to East Coast Conference-foe Mercy College in overtime, 8-7. With 2:12 left in overtime, the Mavericks scored to improve their record to 9-5 overall and 2-5 in the league. The Lions are now 6-6 on the year and 2-4 in the ECC.
In the first half, both teams scored four goals. Molloy junior
Joe Leonard (Hicksville, N.Y.) had two of those tallies. The two clubs were evenly-matched the rest of the game, matching goal for goal. Molloy held the lead at the end of the third quarter, before Mercy recorded two tallies to Molloy's one in the fourth to even the score. Mercy was able to find the game-winner in the first overtime session to earn the 8-7 triumph.
Leonard and sophomore
Kevin Teresky (South Huntington, N.Y.) scored two goals each, while freshman
Jon Camposa (Syosset, N.Y.) recorded one tally and two assists. Senior goalie
John Grebe (Farmingville, N.Y.) made seven saves.
