Box Score ROCKVILLE CENTRE, N.Y. (Mar. 7, 2014) - On Friday night, the Molloy College women's lacrosse team fell to Assumption College, 11-6 at the Dean G. Skelos Sports Complex in Rockville Centre, N.Y. With the win, the Greyhounds improved to 2-0 overall, while the Lions dropped to 1-2.
The Greyhounds and Lions traded the first foul goals, resulting in a 2-2 tie with 14:49 left in the opening stanza. Senior midfielder

Katie O'Brien (Oyster Bay, N.Y.) had the tallies for Molloy, before Assumption scored markers at the 8:05 and then 0:28 marks to take a 4-2 lead into the intermission.
Molloy battled; scoring two goals to start the second half to knot the score at 4-all. O'Brien scored her second goal of the game, while junior attack
Casey Naab (Floral Park, N.Y.) picked up where she left off in the game versus New Haven, scoring her second marker of the season. O'Brien was part of both plays as she assisted on Naab's goal.
An Assumption-Molloy-Assumption-Molloy goal pattern ensued again over the next six minutes, resulting in a deadlock at 6-6. This time senior midfielder
Candice Noakes (Levittown, N.Y.) and senior attack
Jessica Teves (Merrick, N.Y.) were responsible for the goals. However, the Greyhounds scored five unanswered tallies over the final 19 minutes of regulation to earn the 11-6 triumph.
In the cage for the Lions, sophomore
Caroline Winters (Baldwin, N.Y.) made 10 saves in the loss, while Jaclyn Chirco stopped eight shots for Assumption.
