Box Score WILMINGTON, Del. (Mar. 14, 2014) - On Friday evening, the Molloy College women's lacrosse squad began the first leg of its two-game road trip at Wilmington (Del.) University. The Lions bested their opponents, 13-10. With the win, the Lions improved to 3-3 overall.
After trading a goal each to open the game, the Lions went on a 4-1 run from the 22- to 19-minute marks to take a 5-2 advantage. Sophomore midfielder
Katie O'Brien (Oyster Bay, N.Y.) had two of those four goals.
At halftime, Molloy led, 7-6, following another O'Brien goal and a tally from freshman midfielder
Cooper Sesselman (Lindenhurst, N.Y.).
O'Brien was at it again as she found the back of the netting for her fourth goal of the game with just 16 seconds gone by in the second stanza. Senior midfielder
Samantha Arlotta (Garden City Park, N.Y.) then proceeded to put three goals past the netminder for additional insurance. Arlotta's first strike hit at the 21:16 mark, while tallies number two and three were at the 9:13 and 2:17 marks. Following Arlotta's fourth goal of the contest, Wilmington scored with 1:54 remaining, changing the score to 13-10 in favor of Molloy. That would up being the final, sending Molloy to its third victory of the season.
O'Brien and Arlotta finished with four goals each, while the latter also had an assist. Redshirt-sophomore attack
Ryan Meyer (East Meadow, N.Y.) and senior midfielder
Candice Noakes (Levittown, N.Y.) scored twice each, while Sesselman netted one.
For Wilmington, Rebekah McCurry and Gabby Spalt had a hat trick each.

Tom Campolettano and the Lions return to action tomorrow when they take on Chestnut Hill College in Philadephia, Pa. Game time is set for 1 p.m.
