Box Score ROCKVILLE CENTRE, N.Y. (Oct. 19, 2014) - Senior midfielder Allison Sloper (Williston Park, N.Y.) scored her second goal of the season in the 55th minute of Saturday's game versus Daemen College. That tally would end up being the game-winner as the Lions defeated the Wildcats, 1-0, to move into sole possession of fourth place in the East Coast Conference standings. The Lions' record is now 4-3 in league play and 4-7-1 overall. Following the loss, the Wildcats fell to 3-11-1 (0-6-1 ECC).

On Sloper's goal, junior midfielder Alexa De La Torre (Valley Stream, N.Y.) was responsible for the assist as she sent a perfect through ball to the Williston Park native.

Between the pipes for Molloy, senior Nicole DellaPorta (West Babylon, N.Y.) faced no shots in the first half, while rookie Paige Salmon (West Hempstead, N.Y.) stopped two shots in the second period.

Molloy outshot the Wildcats by a wide margin (15-3), while corner kicks were even at 3-3.

Prior to today's contest, the Molloy women's soccer team honored its 2014 seniors: De La Torre, Sloper, Casey Filippone, DellaPorta, Chelsea Bauer, Danielle Pigott and Jacqui Valentine.

Head Coach Danny Longo and the Lions return to the field on Thursday, Oct. 23 when they host non-conference opponent Post University beginning at 3 p.m.  That game will be the Lions' final regular season home game at the Dean G. Skelos Sports Complex.
