Allison Sloper (Williston Park, N.Y.) scored her second goal of the season in the 55th minute of Saturday's game versus Daemen College. That tally would end up being the game-winner as the Lions defeated the Wildcats, 1-0, to move into sole possession of fourth place in the East Coast Conference standings. The Lions' record is now 4-3 in league play and 4-7-1 overall. Following the loss, the Wildcats fell to 3-11-1 (0-6-1 ECC).
On Sloper's goal, junior midfielder
Alexa De La Torre (Valley Stream, N.Y.) was responsible for the assist as she sent a perfect through ball to the Williston Park native.
Between the pipes for Molloy, senior
Nicole DellaPorta (West Babylon, N.Y.) faced no shots in the first half, while rookie
Paige Salmon (West Hempstead, N.Y.) stopped two shots in the second period.
Molloy outshot the Wildcats by a wide margin (15-3), while corner kicks were even at 3-3.
