Box Score FLUSHING, N.Y. (Sept. 28, 2013) - The Molloy College women's soccer squad traveled to Flushing, N.Y. to faceoff against Queens College in an East Coast Conference battle. The Lions fell to the Knights, however, 1-0 to drop to 1-6 overall and 1-2 in the league. The Knights improved to 6-3 overall and 2-1 in the ECC.
In the 33rd minute of the game, Queens' Lorena Russi scored from inside the box off a pass from Alexandra Troiano.
For the Lions, junior goalkeeper
Nicole DellaPorta (West Babylon, N.Y.) stopped two shots, while the Knights' Mersina Onesto made five saves.
Molloy outshot Queens, 9-7, while the Knights held the advantage in corner kicks, 4-3.
