Box Score ROCHESTER, N.Y. (Sept. 20, 2013) - On Friday afternoon, the Molloy College women's soccer squad traveled to Rochester, N.Y. and dropped its first East Coast Conference match of the 2013 campaign to Roberts Wesleyan College, 4-0. With the win, the Redhawks improved to 4-2-1 overall and 1-0 in the ECC. Following the defeat, the Lions slipped to 0-5 on the season and 0-1 in the league.
The Redhawks scored two goals in the latter part of the opening stanza (33rd and 42nd minutes), as Roberts Wesleyan entered halftime with a 2-0 advantage. The hosts didn't score again until the 82nd minute and then at the 87th minute to secure the 4-0 victory.
For the Lions, junior
Casey Naab (Floral Park, N.Y.) had four shots on goal, while sophomore
Alicia Mercurio (Williston Park, N.Y.) and redshirt-junior
Allison Sloper (Williston Park, N.Y.) recorded two each. Between the pipes for Molloy, junior goalkeeper
Nicole DellaPorta (West Babylon, N.Y.) stopped 12 shots.
For the Redhawks, Bella Mitrevski scored twice. In net, Marissa Sell made 11 saves in the win.
