FULL RESULTS -- 10th ANNUAL NJIT TECHNOLOGY XC CHALLENGE
NEWARK, N.J. (Oct. 5, 2013) - On Saturday, the Molloy College men's and women's cross country teams participated in the New Jersey Institute of Technology's 10th Annual Technology XC Challenge. The men's squad finished third out of 21 teams in the Division II/III category, while the women's team did not place.
Senior
Caitlin Breen (Williston Park, N.Y.) was the top runner for the Lions' women's team, finishing in seventh place with with a timing of 19:01.92 in the 5k. Sophomore
Sloane Russ (Smithtown, N.Y.) came in 36th (21:06.29).
In the men's 8k, sophomore
Mike Darnell (Wantagh, N.Y.) was the first Lion to cross the finish line with a mark of 26:22.92 (fourth place). Senior
Luke Merz (Babylon, N.Y.) recorded a 26:35.43, which was good for ninth, while sophomore
Conor Gallagher (Belle Harbor, N.Y.) came in 14th (26:45.52).Â
The Lions return to action on Saturday, Oct. 12 when they race at DeSales University in Center Valley, Pa.
