Box Score BROOKVILLE, N.Y. (Oct. 30, 2013) - On Wednesday afternoon, the Molloy College women's soccer squad fell to East Coast Conference-foe LIU Post, 2-0 in Brookville, N.Y. With the win, the Pioneers improved to 13-3 overall and 6-2 in the ECC, while the Lions dropped to 3-13 on the year and 3-5 in the conference.
In the 17th minute of play, LIU Post's Susanne Vistnes scored off Jeanine Ambrogi's cross from the right side of the box. Right before the intermission hit, LIU Post found its insurance goal as Morgan Kitton netted a tally in the 44th minute. She scored off Hanna Westerling's feed. The entire second half saw no goals scored as LIU Post eventually locked up the 2-0 triumph.
Very early on, the Lions had a chance to score when junior
Allison Sloper (Williston Park, N.Y.) nicked the left post with a shot in the seventh minute.
For Molloy, junior goalkeeper
Nicole DellaPorta (West Babylon, N.Y.) stopped nine shots. On the other side of the field, the Pioneers' netminder Hreffie Agnarsdottir made one save.
LIU Post held the edge in corner kicks, 5-1.
