Box Score DOBBS FERRY, N.Y. (Oct. 19, 2013) - On Saturday afternoon, the Molloy College women's soccer team ventured to Dobbs Ferry, N.Y. to take on East Coast Conference-opponent Mercy College. The Mavericks received goals in the fifth and 54th minutes from Danielle Deeb to knock off the Lions, 2-0. With the win, the Mavericks improved to 10-2 overall and 5-1 in the league. Following the defeat, the Lions dropped to 2-12 on the year and 2-4 in the ECC.
In the fifth minute of the contest, Stephanie Manta flicked in a corner kick, which Deeb then headed in past Molloy junior goalkeeper
Nicole DellaPorta (West Babylon, N.Y.). The Mavericks took an early 1-0 advantage.
Shortly after halftime, Deeb struck again for another header, this time in the 54th minute off a cross from Dawn Hickey.
The Lions outshot the Mavericks, 16-10, despite the loss.
In net for the Lions, DellaPorta stopped a pair of shots, while Nicole Augustine made two saves for the Mavericks.

Danny Longo and the Lions are back in action next Saturday, October 26 when they travel to Sparkill, N.Y. to take on ECC-foe St. Thomas Aquinas College. The opening kickoff is slated for 12 p.m.
