Bernard Dell'Aquila

Bernard Dell'Aquila enters his sixth season as the Head Men's Lacrosse Coach in 2021.  Dell'Aquila has boasted a 36-31 record since taking over the program and has had eight players receive All-Conference recognition. 

Most recently, the Lions appeared in its first postseason appearance under Dell’Aquila, earning the fourth-seed in the 2019 East Coast Conference Tournament.

Previously, Dell'Aquila served as an assistant coach with the program since the 2013 season.

Before coming to Molloy during the 2012-13 athletic year, Dell'Aquila was the defensive coordinator of the Walt Whitman High School varsity lacrosse squad for a season. From 2007-10, Dell'Aquila guided the East Meadow High School varsity lacrosse team -- a perennial Class A Tournament qualifier in his tenure. In his third season at the helm, he was honored as the Conference I Coach of the Year. From 2004-07, Dell'Aquila worked at North Shore High School as head coach of the varsity lacrosse team (2005-06), and head coach of the junior varsity football team (2004-07).

Since 1997, Dell'Aquila has served as a physical education teacher within the Hicksville Public School system. At the high school level, he has held positions of strength and conditioning coach (2000-04), defensive coordinator of the varsity lacrosse team (2000-03), and head coach of the varsity football team (2000-04).

Dell'Aquila earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management from St. John's University in 1987 and a Master of Arts degree in Physical Education from Adelphi University in 1992.

Dell'Aquila currently resides in Greenlawn, N.Y.
