Sophomore Mike Darnell (Wantagh, N.Y.) helped the Lions to a third-place finish out of 21 teams at the NJIT Challenge. Darnell himself placed fourth out of 167 runners in the D-II/III grouping with a time of 26:22.92 in the 8,000-meter race.
