CENTRAL ISLIP, N.Y. (Feb. 18, 2014) - On Tuesday, the East Coast Conference office released its Week 14 men's basketball honors. Molloy College freshman guard Jaylen Morris (Amherst, N.Y.) was dubbed the conference's Rookie of the Week, as he helped the Lions to a pair of league wins versus Mercy College and St. Thomas Aquinas College.

Morris averaged 11.0 points per game, 3.0 boards per contest, 1.5 assists per game and 0.5 steals per contest last week. From field goal range, the Amherst product made nine of his 18 attempts, while hitting a trio of three-pointers. This is Morris' first ECC honor in his career.

Morris and his teammates return to action on Saturday, Feb. 22 when they host UDC at 2:30 p.m.
